The Faulhorn in the Bernese Highlands is world famous

Grindelwald / Coordinates: 46.674889°N / 7.999667°E
2681 m.ü.M / 8803 feet

The famous mountain Hotel on the Faulhorn (name meaning: rotten rock) has survived almost unchanged since it was built in the year 1830. It was in those days an admirable achievement, which commands our respect even today.

In our technical age almost every mountain peak can be easily reached by cableway. In spite of this – or perhaps because of it – the Faulhorn enjoys a high number of visitors.
This very special place can only be reached by physical effort.

The effort will be richly rewarded. An overwhelming panorama (360°) awaits the guests.
An unforgettable experience which every year nature-lovers from around the world do not want to miss.

From the early days of mountains tourism the Faulhorn was recommended as an absolute “must” in the route-planning.

What would be a stay on a high summit without the fantastic colours of a sunrise or a sunset?
The mountain hotel gives you the opportunity of a night in nostalgic rooms or in dormitory accommodation.

Advance booking is strictly necessary!
